Iphone Recharging Problem

My iphone battery needed to be charged so i plugged it with the wall connector and then the screen goes black and iphone does not charge i cant do anything...it doesnt respond....anyone knows whats happening?

Are you sure the charger is working correctly?

My iPhone had an issue with the wall charger at one point as well but was fine charging from the computer. I tried different cables, wall adapaters, fuses etc. but nothing seemed to work. I restore the iPhone and it worked straight away.

iphone is definetely not working cause i can charge my ipod with the wall charger and the iphone will not charge from the computer either....ill try restoring the iphone...
