CUBASE ESSENTIAL 4 Tascam US 122 with a 15" unibody MBP

Hi,

So yeah..I'm a Mac NOOB. Recently purchased the Unibody 15" Macbook pro. 4gb, 2.4 GhZ, 250 HD

I have the Tascam Us-122 and I am trying to hook it up with Cubase Essential 4 but for some reason, it is not reading it via the USB, NOR can i hear the audio output.

The only purpose for this Tascam is to convert Vinyl to MP3's
I have a Technics SL1200 going through a Rane TTM56 mixer into the Line In's on the US122

( I have used this EXACT setup on a PC for 2 years and absolutely LOVE the sound quality)

If someone can help me out with step by step instructions on how to hook this up I would greatly appreciate it.

The customer service tech's at Tascam don't really wanna talk to me without an attitude, and i am REEEAAALLLY fed up with that.

Any help anyone can contribute would be MORE than appreciated!

might be an obvious question, but have you got all of the drivers installed for the tascam? and also is cubase up to date?

I think I do. I am going to call Tascam AND Steinberg again tomorrow.
