iPhone Screen Trouble

My screen for my 16 gb iPhone remains black while I can still call it for some reason, and it plays my ringtone. I tried plugging it in to my computer and the outlet and it makes that signature noise like it has been connected but still nothing on the screen. Am I going to have to go to the Apple Store for this or is there something I can do?

Did you drop, submerge your iPhonei in liquids, use it in a humid environment, or anything else that harsh?

If not, you can probably get it replaced.
