So I woke up this morning to find my macbook running its screen saver like usual. However, for some reason, neither the macbook's keyboard/mouse nor the external keyboard/mouse could cancel out of the screen saver. I decided to use the power button to force a shut down and then reboot.
Well, upon doing so I got stuck at the white boot up screen. After turning it off and on a few times it came to the MS DOS no bootable disk screen, asking me to insert a boot up disk. So I restarted again, and held down alt/option to bring up the partitions so i could boot to OSX. However, when I do so, I find myself looking at the arrow, but no partitions to select. This has been the case despite several restarts.
Heres the kicker, I have the Halo: Combat Evolved disk stuck in my drive, and I am unable to eject it do to the macbook's lack of a manual eject. Apparently the drivers aren't there anymore for the eject button to work. So I can't even insert my Leopard disk to see if that will help.
Help! What do I do!
EDIT:
When I was trying to show my friend in my dorm what was happening, it didn't boot to windows like it was before. I got a flashing folder. I'm about to be googling what that means for myself, but I imagine some of you already know what that means, so that may tell you something.
Also, I'm at college in Vermont and theres no apple stores here.
