Recently my ipod has been not holding a charge. It lasts like 2 hours of use, and thats only playing games, no internet. Also, when it ets down to 20 % of battery it tells me that its there like 5 times, the alert shows up multiple times within acouple of minutes. And then sometimes about a minute or so later it says I have 10 % left. It then shuts off after a few minutes and says that I need to plug it in. Sometimes if I reset it (home + lock button together) it turns on with some battery left, at least 20 % and then after five minutes its drained again. That process of reseting and then draining lasts for a while.

should I take it into apple?

has anyone else had this problem?

Thanks

Zym

If it is still under warranty, yes, take it in.

If it is out of warranty, it's going to cost you $85 to replace the battery.

My 1st gen Touch is in the same condition and out of warranty, I've been debating whether to replace the battery or buy the 2nd gen.
