I apologise if it isn't.
I haven't been down with the "jailbreak scene" for a year now but I'm seriously considering jailbreaking my iPhone for clippy and backgrounder.
What's the safest way to jailbreak on Mac and what apps should I get.
I AM NOT INTERESTED IN JAILBREAKING FOR PIRACY REASONS. I am 100% against people who pirate apps from the appstore.

Read the second thread in this forum and it will tell you what you need to do to jailbreak your phone. It is really a piece of cake now, not nearly as nerve-racking as it previously was.
Enjoy.

Hey thanks.
I've jailbroken now.
Not a piece of cake, however...
I had to download some old USB thing from 10.5.5 and restart my Mac. Which I had to google to find out about.
Besides that, its pretty simple. Although it was a lot more simple back in the 1.x days... Safari had a major flaw that allowed code to be executed ;)
What are the best things for me to download from installer?

Get rid of installer, well, don't use it. Cydia is much better.

Of course the discussion is allowed here, you clicked on a forum with the following description didn't you? :)
iPhone Hacks (116 Viewing)
Jailbreak, Activation, Hacks
With that said, it should be a piece of cake, if you used a USB hub instead of fiddling with your USB kexts. :)
I agree with the above, don't even load Installer, use Cydia and you should be golden.

Jailbreaking and 'hacking' is perfectly fine. But what we don't allow is app piracy :)
