a titanium G4 PowerBook.....to a G4 Powermac
USB, ethernet, appletalk
im not very good at configuring things, so the easier the better really?
any suggestions?

easiest, not to mention fastest, is firewire target disk mode.

i followed the steps, copied the files across, fine
but now i go to start up the machine in OSX, and it wont !!!
just gets stuck on the grey page with the white apple??? arrrrrrrgh

Exactly what files did you transfer over? You sure you didn't overwrite system files? If you did, you may need to reinstall OS X.

no-i transferred about 10gb of audio samples from my desktop into the users>documents folder (where all my docs etc are kept)
oh, and i just hit alt, whilst it was booting up, and selected to boot in oSX, then it came up with a GREY CIRCLE WITH A LINE THROUGH THE CENTRE, where the white apple logo usually is on the grey start up screen ?? Whats that all about?
will the restore disks that i have help?
