Today i updated my itunes software and when i went to sync up my ipod i noticed problems with my podcasts. When i go into podcasts and click on the screen to update a podcast it is blank ,it gives me a power search title search and artist search.....WTF? Also having a problem when you look up one of your podcasts the window opens up the full length of the screen and the only way to get rid of it is to restart iTUNES. Anyone esle having this problem?

You are not alone. For the first time ever I am experiencing problems with apple software. I upgraded to iTunes 8.1 and now It crashes every time I fire it up. I tried updating the library and nothing. I hope I don't have a iphone issue before they fix this issue. I have sent a million reports to apple...

iTunes is wierd. Everytime I've updated it with software update it does something weird.
Now I download it from itunes.com and install it manually. Have never had an issue that way, and it's fixed previous issues I've had too.

Argh, don't get me started on 8.1 and the bugs in it. As infinityitalia also said this is also the first time I've ever had problems with an Apple update as well.

Anyone know if there is a fix coming for this? This is the first time i can ever remember having a bug with my apple software and i have been a user since 1990.

I having problems with 8.1. First it deleted a bunch of my purchased music. Contacted apple, they said they would reapply those songs to my account.

They told me to use the check for available downloads feature to re-download the songs, but I keep getting an error message that says that the iTunes Store isn't available. I know it's available because I went to the store and then purchased another song.

2 days later the rep contacts me again, telling me that it's a known issue and they would contact me again once it's resolved.

The next day I get an email stating that everything is good to go and they added some credits to my account for my troubles. Tried to download the songs again, and still nothing.

Hi, I don't know whether this is a bug or some deliberate feature - but I just upgraded to 8.1 and I can no longer drag and drop from iTunes to Toast for burning CD's. This is really lame because you now have to go through your folder system and drag the files from there - a real bummer if you are making a compilation cd - btw playlists won't drag and drop either. WTF have you done Apple?

Yeah I noticed that they removed a lot of little features that made things really simple. For instance if you're listening to "iTunes Dj", I use to be able to uncheck a song from the playlist itself if I didn't want to hear it again. Now I have to go back to the main music area, which takes a lot of time even though they said they made it more efficient for people who have large libraries. I'm really over 8.2 and I want my 8.0 back. Too bad you can't downgrade without loosing all of your metadata.

My iTunes crashes as well when I insert my iPod. I just reverted to version 8.0. You guys can't be serious that this is your first problem with Apple software! Apple stuff is the buggiest software on the market! They have a nice look, but the actual code is FULL of bugs. iTunes is universally mocked for its bad coding - you can't be unaware of this???

I also noticed that the info window for podcasts isn't in a frame and there is no way to get rid of it.

it's rare that I encounter problems with Apple true but for some reason, iTunes has been consistently buggy for years already w/ their updates. my wife's iPod lost its entire library while I was manually managing it last week. restored it twice already; now it wont play anymore. :(
