Gov. Wants a Part-Time Legislature (http://www.latimes.com/news/local/la-me-arnold7apr07,1,7756263.story?coll=la-home-headlines)

An Old Idea That's New: A Part-time Legislature (http://www.comstocksbusiness.com/plccr-feb.htm)
=====
What are your thoughts?
I think it would be a good idea to have part-time legislatures. It would be more like what this country used to be, where law-makers are also part of their community, and are in touch with their constituents. Have a problem? Go talk to your legislature in his auto-dealership, or where he's working at, close to home instead of over in Sac-o-tomatoes.
Would make for a smaller budget as well.
Lots of other states have part-time legislatures.
