I reckon that you really should. I would say that the Apple community at the Forums is probably the largest Mac community there is (besides the Apple discussion rooms itself)
You guys are probably responsible for a small amount of Apple sales since the website really started kicking off in 2004/5ish time.
Thanks also for the list of live coverage sites!

It always cracks me up that Engadget (you know the site without MAC in its name) alway beats the pants off of Macworld.com coverage..

I would not be surprised to find out that the macworld editors just read the engadget posts and reposts ;)

Well, Engadget is part of Weblogs Inc, which is in turn owned by AOL Time Warner.

Yah, but I mean more about the people at these sort of apple events and the execution of their posts and photos, that really does not have much to do with AOL, I just think they have more talented people covering these events compared to macworld, which I just find ironic is all..

They ALREADY charge for them, but now you get 3, 4, or 5 icons on your desktop since each set is a whole new app.

Good. Only paid apps can offer in-app pay upgrades.
No "Free" apps that then pester you to buy something later.
So apps that use this WON'T use it in an annoying way, or their initial sales will suffer. So this won't be a problem. Developers will use it tastefully or they'll suffer.

No, I meant for example in a game, the original had 10 levels, in a month the dev makes 10 more levels, the game would get a free update with the new levels, not a new game. Now he can charge for the 10 new levels instead of just putting out a free update.

Yeah, that's what I'm talking abuot. What's that robot game? Toybot or something? There are several versions in the app store. They're the same game, just different levels, and they ALL cost money.
How is the current way better? It just takes up more space on your launch screen. Combining them into one program would cost the same, work the same, but be far more convinient.

Thats weird, I havn't seen that where the dev just makes a whole new separate version app with the new levels. I've always just seen the same app just get updated for free.
What your saying is better, If they were charging for a separate version with more levels, then it is better the new way.
But what i'm saying is that all the apps i've seen just updated the app for free. Not a separate version. Just go to updates in the app store and download the free update. Now they can charge for updates.

OK, so still no background processes...so "multitasking" will still suck. Funny how WM and Symbian can manage this without the "80% battery reduction" just fine...smells like Apple just wants to hold tighter reins on what's running on their device. Also, Giz. says no Bluetooth pairing...so it sounds like the Bluetooth stack will still suck.

Did they not blast blackberry for using an intermediate server for email service? And that it's better to got straight from mail server to phone.
Low and behold, push notification is exactly how blackberries get there email! There's a server sitting there collecting everything and pushing to your phone as you need it.
Shhhh, you were supposed to forget that...

In game voice chat is also one of the various APIs now open, as is iPod library access, proximity sensor, audio recorder, battery API, streaming audio and video, data detectors, text selection (oh??? is this for copy and paste??) UI alert view, sake API (for rumble) and GPS lingo.

No, what I mean is:

Push draining battery 20% faster = better, but that # is very surprising to me (I would have guessed 5%)

the use of accessories and bluetooth gave me the idea of an external keyboard! u guys remember the old palm keyboards that can fold and u put in ur pocket. would we be able to use bluetooth keyboards now? this would be great for taking notes in lectures! if this is true, im selling my macbook!

is this going to be the 'copy&paste' feature for one more thing?
I personally think so, in this image, one of the features in the new SDK includes "text selection"

Let's say my Mother has diabetes (which she does). She needs to be convinced to get the 3G iPhone...

You'l sell your macbook because you might be able to type notes up on a screen smaller than your hand :S?
Did you buy a macbook just to take notes or something? that sounds abit mental too me
everything that i do with my macbook i could do with my iphone except taking notes (quickly). for the heavy lifting i have my imac at home! so yea i would sell my macbook cause its not my primary comp!
