iTunes: How to speed up Coverflow?

Would more RAM do this?

I am on an Aluminum MB 2.0 GHz with 2GB DDR3 RAM. I find that if I hold the left or right arrow key to browse through album covers in iTunes that it is kind of choppy. Would 4GB make this less choppy?

Anyone else notice this?

Are you on itunes 8.1? (the newest) if so, thats a known issue.

even with 4GB of RAM i notice a lag. but it isn't choppy for me. it's just album art doesn't load fast. i guess doing that would eat up a lot of processor time... 😕

i would think that the OS would page those in and load them up into memory -- not really eating up the CPU.

but i am not knowing for sure.

Its a bug, just a bug, nothing to do with your computer, everything to do with a glitch.

Itll be fixed in the future.

I was wondering if it was a known issue or not. There's not much about the issue here...

8.2 Bug

I Have Mostly Cd To Itunes Music
I Do Not Get Cover Flow At All On Any Music Bought From Itunes Or My Own Copied Music Whats Wrong

Where did you get 8.2?


The newest release is 8.1, which came out a few weeks ago.

THATS WHAT I MEANT AT 1 TIME I HAD COVER FLOW ON ALL ALBUMS..UPDATED TO 8.1 NONE TO BE FOUND???

Have you tried "get album artwork" yet? (silly question I know, but gotta ask)

Also, i dont know if your aware, but your caps lock appears to be on.

yes i have tried its just a black screen with songs below,far left small corner has cover pics though..........
