Hi,

I am connecting Samsung 2233SW monitor the my aluminum body MacBook using a DVI connector. The display is quite grainy and the fonts difficult to read.

Earlier i was using a VGA cable, lot of posts here indicated that the problem is probably due to using VGA instead of DVI.

However with DVI also there is no improvement. The only change i can see is that with i can select a larger resolution with screen shrinkage.

How to make this work? Has anybody tried any other LCD monitor which works with MacBook instead of Samsung? Any drivers required and if so where can they be found (i found no driver on samsung site for macbook).

thanks
~js

Are you running it at the native resolution of the samsung panel?

Any other issues? Samsung's are generally incompatible with the MacBook, judging by the reviewers on the Apple Store.

In my experience, it's only an issue with the TV's, the monitors are just fine.

Yes. Spent several hours tweaking resolution :(

Do dell work well? My colleague is using that and is happy, he is another location right now so can't see for my self.
