Digital Zoom Of CyberShot DSC H10/B

I know that the optical zoom is 10x but the Sony website says 20x Digital zoom along with other sites but others say 2.0x can anyone clarify this?

i can't clarify on the exact number...but i can tell you that "digital zoom" is just taking the maximum optical zoom and cropping the image. so you might as well just use the longest optical zoom and crop the image yourself afterwards.

Don't use digital zoom.

You're better off just cropping your photos later.

If zoom is your thing, you might want to consider the new Pentax X70. If I'm not mistaken, it's the only superzoom with 24x optical zoom. :eek:
