iPod AM Receiver for iPod?

Has anyone ever seen an AM receiver for an iPod? I've seen the FM receivers, but never an AM.
I've searched & searched the internet, but haven't found any products that exist. Any idea why no company makes an AM reciever for the iPod?

i searched the web extensively a few months ago for the same thing and had no luck. if you do, please post what you found
