Feedback Needed: LaCie 1TB d2 Quadra Hard Disk

I need a feedback from someone who has this external HD.

I currently have 1TB TC but need additional space so planning on getting this item. Has anyone used this HD in the past or is anyone currently using it ?

Any feedback would be great.

I have not used that particular drive but I did get the new lacie 2tb max. Its the black monolith style but in a 2tb that can be set to either raid 0 or 1. I have been very happy with the drive so far and havent had any issues getting it to mount. The set up was painless and amazing fast even for a newb to using externals. The only drawback for some is that it is only a USB 2.0 but I connected it to my AEBS and it works great for streaming movies over my network.

BTW picked it up from pc connection for 242.00, a steal for the specs.

Thanks azdunerat. I'm planning on connecting it directly to my MBP or USB port of my TC or even the AEBS.

Just wanted to get a feedback on the product.

I have it and...

It works flawlessly. A great HD from my perspective.

Are you sure we're talking about the same unit? The specs say that it has FW 400 & 800. By the way, you saw you stream movies over usb. Is that non hd avi files or mkv @720? No skipping?
