Powerbook G4 Superdrive question...

I just bought a 550mhz G4 Powerbook and am wondering if it is possible to take the superdrive out of this and install it on my 400mhz G4 Powerbook. The reason for this is that the 550mhz system is my mums and she never uses the superdrive for anything other than watching DVD's. So I could give her my DVD drive and get her superdrive out of the deal.

Will the superdrive from the 550mhz model be compatible with my 400mhz?
