Hello everybody,
I recently bought an aluminum Macbook 2.0 and have not had any problems or concerns until about a week ago. Lately my macbook is making a weird popping noise that almost sounds like a coffee maker brewing coffee. The problem is that it only does it randomly for a few consecutive minutes and then stops. I cannot figure out where it's coming from for the life of me. I disassembled the bottom casing to check inside and all components look fine to me. Like I said, this noise only happens randomly and I'm scared that if I take it in to apple's store, the popping will cease and their employee will think I'm crazy. Does anyone have this similar problem and/or solution? It really doesn't sound good when it happens so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
