Bought new computer...how to setup iphone and keep apps?

Easy enough to transfer the music and movies via my external drive, but how do I get my 30 apps on this computer? I'd really rather not redownload everything as some are rather large files.

Plug your phone into the new computer and when iTunes recognizes the phone, right click on it and select "Transfer Purchases".
