Trying to install software but I keep getting this error, from Office, and some other sfotware packages. Any ideas?

Is this your home computer? Are you connecting to a server? Is the disk you are trying to install to a networked drive, usb/firewire, or the internal disk? If you are installing office, why not just drag the folder to your disk, no need to go though the installer for it.

This is my internal HD that came with my comptuer. I don't thikn I checked anything or changed anything that's why I thought it was odd it thinks the HD is a network disk.
