Any good benchmarks comparing 2.93 Quad vs. 2.26 Octo?

I'll admit I haven't looked hard, but perhaps those who are in a similar situation as me... trying to determine what machine makes the most sense for various workloads around the $3K dollar mark, will benefit from collecting some benchmarks here.

I plan to start digging into this further (and I'll post what I find), but in the mean time, if you are aware of any such benchmarks, please reference them here.

The following one is just bizarre... it raises more questions than answers (e.g. why test a quad with anything other than 6GB? Why is the 16GB 2.26 nearly twice as slow as the 12GB test run, etc.).
