just as the title says, i forced rebooted my computer after my windows froze and after i turned it back on my mighty mouse didnt connect. so i went on into my Mac OSX and for some reason the icon in the System preference disappeared and i no longer saw the bluetooth icon. i went manually to applications and checked and there was only Bluetooth File Exchange.. how do i fix this?

Go to applications>spotlight type in bluetooth>click on Bluetooth file exchange>then a window should pop up. Then what happens?

I just had that happen after several attempts at getting the Apple BT keyboard working in XP (BC 2.1). (17" UBMBP)

It was missing from my System Preferences, too.

A PRAM zap fixed it.

On a restart, hold down "cmd-opt-P-R" until you hear a 2nd "chime". It should be back after that.
