Which would run better: the 933 iBook, with the bigger hard drive and maxed out RAM, or the base model of the 1G iBook? Cause they're about the same price.
Or should I just say "**** it" and get the 12" PowerBook?

I would have to guess the maxed out 933 iBook.
Compair them:
1 GHz:
256 RAM
No AE
No bluetooth
933 Mhz:
640 RAM
AE
Bluetooth
Everyting else is the same, HD, V RAM, etc. If I had the choice, I would go for the 933. I can spair the 67 MHz.

between the ibooks, the 933 is definitely the way to go. With maxed RAM it will way outperform the 67mhz-faster 1 Ghz model.
However, the PB is a very tempting choice. I have one, and it's so amazing. But... for the same money, the maxed ibook 933 will be your best performer.

Go for the 1GHz. Everything else you can upgrade, the processor you can't.

I would say that if you are planning on upgrading it then the 1 ghz is the way to go- just make sure you get bluetooth because that you can never add (without an annoying little stick).
