I found this computer case on newegg.com. Isn't it the worst mac pro case design rip off ever?

No it isn't. It looks nothing like the Mac Pro case.
You have too much time on your hands.

Eww...
Meh, except for the handles, not so much. :p Looks like a really cheap hybrid of the MP (handles) and a gazillion other generic mid towers. ;)
It's only saving grace might be the drive bays. :p

They even tried to copy the way the mac pro is photographed.

I don't see that either. Just seems like the normal shots around a case to me.

Looks a little FUGLY to me, and no where near as nice as the case I've just ordered to try my hands at a hackintosh
http://www.coolermaster.com/products/product.php?language=uk&act=detail&tbcate=636&id=2590
All in all though a case just hides under a desk and get a good clean out every couple of months. Unless you're an uber geeky gamer and have to have Neon everything, then you'll go for one of these, and stick some more LEDs/Neon shizzle in there

Looks a heck of a lot more like it, and yet doesn't... because it can't. They'd be sued like eMachines was (went out of business because of it).

All right, call me old school but the ONLY PC computer case that I ever liked was the Black, brushed metal Praetorian Case (http://www.firingsquad.com/hw/2342/Cooler_Master_Praetorian_PAC-T01-EK/) by Cooler Master. It was, and in my mind still is, a FLY looking case that was extremely well built and has stood the test of time in terms of design and aesthetics. :D
Oh and... it would probably still look fantastic as a Hackintosh with an LCD! ;)

Fan controllers, memory card readers, lcd displays, and internal HDD's come to mind. :D :p

The lawsuit occurred in 1999. They were first bought in 2004. If the lawsuit had driven them out of business, I sincerely doubt it would have taken 5 years to do so. But I could be wrong.

I can't seem to find that case on newegg by working backwards from the pic....can you give me a pointer to the make/model?
EDIT: NM....found it...it's a discontinued item (and got mediocre reviews)

They were successfully sued by Apple in 1999. It didn't force eMachines out of business like you suggested and they were bought out by Gateway 5 years later in 2004.
I don't see the connection?
Edit: belvdr beat me to it.

Here's the only case I found that can hold its own in terms of design and esthetics against MacPro.. and the one my future Nehalem hackintosh will be based on :D
Lian-Li PC-A17 Silver Case (http://www.frozencpu.com/products/image/7331/cst-709.jpg/cst-709/Lian-Li_PC-A17_Silver_Mid-Tower_Case_PC-A17A.html)

It's "Big Brother" is the PC-A77 (http://www.lian-li.com/v2/en/product/product06.php?pr_index=212&cl_index=1&sc_index=25&ss_index=61). ;)
I went with the PC-V2010 (http://www.lian-li.com/v2/en/product/product06.php?pr_index=208&cl_index=1&sc_index=25&ss_index=61), also in silver. :D

That's a nice Lian Li, but a bit too big for my taste.. at over 2ft height, it probably won't fit under my desk.
