mac mini + 24" led display

i'm looking for buying a last generation mac mini for my parents. i will eventually replace their lcd monitor with the apple 24" led display, but since the old mini doesn't have a mini displayport, is there anyway to connect these two?

You're limited to using a display with DVI input(s).

Looks like the answer is no. I was trying to figure this out today for an existing mac mini. I'll probably look for an HDTV...
