Hey everyone. When I was deciding whether to get this drive I saw a lot of conflicting opinions about how loud it was or how many vibrations there were. I just wanted to give my two cents about it. I can not feel any vibrations and it could be ever so slightly louder, but Im not really sure. I can definitely feel a difference in speed. Overall for price and whatever little extra noise there is I would say its worth it!

I swapped out the 320GB HD I had for an SSD. That was the ONLY time I noticed a vibration. I found that the superdrive creates FAR more vibration than an increase in RPM.
