Hey all,
I just maxed out my iBook's ram from 320 megs to 576 megs.(Yes, I'm the one who uses a clamshell.:)Refrain from laughing.)As soon as I loaded safari, I noticed the difference. It feels like a whole new machine. I used to notice the trouble loading under 10.4, but now it feels alot like the eMac's at school (speedwise) Just my two cents:cool:

I would NEVER scoff at one who has the wisdom and fortitude to still swear by their trusty Clamshell. Man, I love my Clamshell! I have the 466Mhz DV edition and I use it every day. I use it on the Windoze network here at work for program editing, graphics and - of course - listening to the Mac Geek Gab. It works great at home on the wireless network. I, too, upgraded to 576Mb of RAM and even put in a 120GB hard drive. The only thing that bugs me is being limited to 800x600. Oh, and the battery. It's pretty lame. I've got a lot of old stuff, and a computer is as good as what it does. I was even able to force an install of GarageBand, but it's pretty limited. Max that baby out and drive it like you stole it. :D
