Facebook Update out

so every night i check for app updates. Facebook came up as 2.3. looked to see whats new but info is still pointing to 2.2. checked appshopper.com and it didn't have it yet either.

anyway, just thought i'd let everyone know

What a lame update... German localization and a single bug fix? Was hoping they would merge the news feed and live feed in the next update! Plus improve navigation and handling of photos.

On my iPod, it said 7/10/08 ... but the version number was right.

Prior to Facebook 2.3, running 3.0 beta would not load pictures but after updating, I can see pictures again!

Apps keep their original release date unless the developer goes into iTunes Connect and manually changes it. You'll notice that most big app updates have older release dates. They don't need the push to the top of the new release list to get attention like smaller devs do so they usually don't bother changing the release date. The July '08 date is from v1.0.

2.3 supposedly fixes the missing image bug when using 3.0.
