I just unpacked my MBA rev B and no lines!
Trust me I have seen enough MBA's to know what to look for!

So happy.

Congratulations. How do you like your new MBA? If you ever get a chance to pair it with a 24" backlit LED ACD, go for it. It makes your MBA an instant desktop. It's pricey but worth every penny.

Hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mine.

Best wishes, and welcome to the club.

I just checked the screen and it is the model 9C8F that has been reported and I was hoping to get but didn't expect. I got iLife -08 instead of 09 but couldn't care less since I got the great screen they used for the Rev A models!

Congratulations, for the screen, I'm glad people are now getting that rev, it wasn't until after I had bought my MBA, that I realized that they come with such screens, and since I had not seen any MBA with lines, I was a little unsure weather my display was actually flawless when I reported it in the other thread, I'm glad its what I thought it was.

Btw whats the systems specs and manufacturing date?

Uh yes its a great machine. I have yet to see the lines on a MBA - Mine is perfect - simply perfect! I got a Mac Pro with the 24" screen and have to say I am so disappointed the reflections are not bad at all... :D

I opened Aperture and browsed through my latest import of photos with the 24" LED attached - just jpeg but it was fast and the colours are great.I noticed at difference in colour for the Air screen to the LED display. Anyway a computer and great setup with eht 24" LED from Apple.

Mine is a 1.86/SSD.
Now it is mine turn to ask, how I check for manufacturing date?

Mine is a 1.86/SSD.
Now it is mine turn to ask, how I check for manufacturing date?

Look at the first 5 characters in your serial number:

Notes: an example partial serial number of W8640 results in the following:
-> W8 = Country code for manufacture (happens to be China .. surprise, surprise)
-> 6 = last digit of year (2006)
-> 40 = week of manufacture => Octoberish

I've had my MBA rev 2 for a week...no lines!
Love the machine...only thing is my battery health is only at 90%...even after 2 complete drains and charging following the apple support directions

current capacity 4623 mAh
Original capacity 5090 mAh

Ok, thanks then my manufacturing date is week 52 -08 which I believe is the same as the other MBA with screen 9C8F that was reported here.
