Intenet Connect: Could not find PPPoE server

I get a message every time I turn on my macbook saying "Intenet Connect: Could not find PPPoE server". I am on the Internet, no issues, but it always pops up sporadically. It randomly pops up, even when I am not trying to do Internet stuff. It has been going on since I got my macbook 2 years ago. Any insight? Thanks

How do you connect to the internet then?

PPPoE or (W)LAN?

Maybe you configured PPPoE, but don't use it, because you're connected via (W)LAN.

Look into your Network settings in System Preferences > Network if there is a PPPoE service configured.
