Ok so I went to Best Buy and I bought a Mini DisplayPort to DVI Adapter cable for my newly purchased White MacBook and needless to say it didn't fit into the computer. I was reading some reviews on apple's website and people were talking about DVI-D and DVI-I or something like that.
So if anyone would be so kind as to link me to the correct cable I'm supposed to buy it would be greatly appreciated.

The white MacBook uses Mini-DVI and not Mini-DisplayPort. You bought the wrong cable (as you can tell)

Only the aluminum macbooks have the mini displayport. you need a mini dvi to dvi adapter.

This is what I bought:
Thats the wrong cable, You need a Mini DVI to DVI. That one only works for the New Unibody macbook.

Return it. If they don't have the Mini-DVI to DVI adapter at BB then buy it here:

Ok cool. Thanks you guys. At Best Buy there's a Dynex version on their website that's in stock at one of the stores I go to. Is there any difference between the cables other than the brand? Would the picture quality be any different?
