Connecting iMac to Receiver?

Hey Everyone.

Not sure if this is in the right place but here goes.

I want to connect my iMac to my Sony Receiver so I can play music from my iMac on my home-theatre speakers.

How exactly do I connect my iMac to the receiver? What cable(s) do I need to buy?

if your receiver has an optical port, you can use a toslink to mini cable, just goes right in the headphone port.

if it doesn't you just need a 3.5mm (regular headphone plug) to RCA
