Is it just the AirPort Express Base Station?

Is it easy to secure? Does the iMac do this for you (I'm on the verge of buying a 24"), and also is it easy enough to wirelessly print?

the express will do it.

fairly easy to set up, just follow the manual.

also for security make sure you choose WPA not WEP.

...if your printer is USB, that will plug into the AEBS if you want it to...

I plan to get the AEBS and use it for networked HDD storage as my brother printer will wirelessly connect and my cable modem is/can be in a different room that way...

Cool, thanks. I did setup wireless ages ago on another computer/network, but have forgotten how to do it. I do remember about WEP, however.

Will it be apparent on starting up the mac for the first time how to do the setup? Or will it come as a prompt when I put the cd in from the base station?

he was asking about the express, which will not do hard drive.

...the airport express isn't called a "base station" which is what led me to believe he was talking about the Airport Extreme Base Station (AEBS) and just phrased it incorrectly...

Isn't this an airport base station?
