I'm confused, I was under the impression all aluminum iMacs dropped the sleep indicator light...

... then I saw this video on youtube?

Here's a frame from the video to show you what the box shows:

Isn't that just a mark or light reflection on the box?

That can't be light reflection or a mark on the box... too singular.

I'll have to take out my iMac box and see if it's there.

I know, thats what I thought, but it looks too perfect to be just a reflection.

Well, it's slightly in the wrong place. Anybody who has the white iMac will realize it's sitting too far to the left.

Nope. New iMac's don't have a sleep indicator - was removed. That has to be something hitting the box or something. I don't think packaging on the iMac's that did have the indicator was advertised on the box. And as you can see with the pic above with another iMac user, there is no indicator being advertised.

The aluminum iMac has never had a sleep indicator light on any model.

That is what I thought, making it be a "freak" glare on the camera.

I understand there's never been a sleep indicator light. But I don't think the picture is fake.

Watch the video, the dot stays in the same place on the box the whole time, I don't think its just a coincidence.

I just came across this video and was as stumped as most people here.

You mean when it was in the backseat of the car? The box didn't move, the camera did.

Could it be some computer generated photo and the creator forgot the sleep indicator light wasn't supposed to be there?
