hey is that movie like a "chick flick" or would a scifi/horror fan such as myself who is a "dude" like it too? Is it like lost boys or something? I don't like chick flicks. Because the only people i ever hear talking about this movie are the 11-13 y/o girls who come see me in the clinic.

Thanks

Mo

Definitely something that needs to be done on the Windows side. I'll try DVDFab when I get a disc of it.

my daughter loves the movies and the books. I, as well, do not like chick flicks, but it is a fantastic movie. One of the best I've seen in a long time.

It was actually pretty good, I broke down and got the HD version on iTunes, but it was worth it.

Not underworld by any means but it's a decent movie.

The content of the commercial DVD is pointless. This is just a technical matter to be concerned over. If you don't like the movie then why post?

Twilight is a great movie for everyone to enjoy.
It's a total chick flick. I'm typing this small so my wife won't see this and beat me up.

Who posted here, that didn't like it?

But I love the fact brad.c had to lighten his comment!

Clarification for Eidorian, mohanman asked "is that movie like a "chick flick" or would a scifi/horror fan such as myself who is a "dude" like it too?"

So actual content was tossed into the forum. But still, I don't know why handbrake would have an issue. I know Target's copies included an iTunes digital copy.

Thanks MAYBL8R for your response, at least I know I am not alone.

Extra special thanks to Eidorian for trying to keep the thread on track. ;)

Sorry for prolonging the OT. There's some contextual irony here: I downloaded a torrent of a cam version to tide my wife over when she was too sick to go to the theatre for the 5th time. Big grateful response.

I then downloaded a dvdrip two weeks before her pre-ordered disc set arrived, which was met with a mild reception. "Meh, my disc will be here soon, I can wait."

She would have asked me to rip her DVD to play on her Touch, so it's good to know I should hold onto the copy I have.

I lost interest in the book, and wasn't that impressed with the movie. BUT I did enjoy The Host, by the same author.

I was able to accomplish this today pretty easily with Ripit and Handbrake

I used to Ripit to pull the movie off the disc

Then I used Handbrake. The trick with handbrake is to choose "Open Source: Title Specific" and choose title 1 for this particular dvd.

Then knock it out on your favorite handbrake settings

done!

I don't have problem converting it using Handbreak.

My sister is in love with Twilight and asked me to help her rip the movie for her 5.5G U2 iPod. We used Fairmount + VLC (latest version) to remove the DRM and copy it to my workhorse iMac G5. The encryption was definitely tougher than normal; it took about four-six times as long for Fairmount to do its thing.

Right now the VIDEO_TS folder is being encoded with Handbrake. There were two titles that seemed movie length... we picked the 2 hours, 4 minutes one. I hope we're right! DVD Player wouldn't play the VIDEO_TS folder for some reason, so we couldn't be sure.

Wait. You used Title 1? What is Title 24, then? Director's Commentary? They only differ by a few minutes, so we picked the longer one.

Yep .. i used handbrake with title 1 and it worked just fine on my iMac.

The one giving me issues is Bolt ... I used title 1 with that and the chapters are all mixed up ... grrr

play it in a dvd player and note the title number. Thats the one to choose with HB open title specific. HB has no problem with Bolt if you do that.

Just go to ZML.com

they offer it in divx or ipod version no more than $3

Save you lots of time and headaches trying to rip and encode the damn thing. They also offer watchmen

Okay.. I watched the first 15-20 mins. Its okay so far, a little bit of cheesiness. The best is that doctor, haha, if I saw him, I would be like man you need a tan!

As far as Bolt goes... Try using RipIt to rip the Dvd to your movies folder as a
.mov and then handbrake that file. I had problems much like that for Casino Royale and RipIt/Handbrake did the trick.
