There seem to be same bad reviews of the VGA output adapter for the new Macbooks as well as DVI output.

I want to connect to Samsaung HD television sometimes. Why the issues?

Thanks.

What are the "issues" your having?
You cant find the correct cable?
You have the cable and it doesn't work?

We cant really read your mind. If you provide more insight I'm sure we could help you out.

Post links to the issues.

I had no issue connecting a MDP > VGA or MDP > DVI.

I used to have problems with my VGA adaptor but a recent firmware update fixed it.

You'd need some specifics, though.

Don't use VGA to your samsung. Just go MDP-->HDMI using the monoprice adaptor, or MDP-->DVI with the apple adapter then DVI-->HDMI with a cable. You'll get a far better picture anyways.

Because VGA is pretty much old, dead, and obsolete. Even a cheap LCD tv I bought 4 years ago had DVI inputs. VGA is pretty much like the DB-9 serial ports still (!) found on PCs made today even though there is already a better, more robust, more universal serial standard available (USB).
