Ok, Here is the scoop. I am trying to get Wifi to work on my macbook while on XP. When I put in the disk and it says "The package requires a newer version of Windows Installer. Would you like to update?" I say yes and it says "The requires resoruce update is missing." and if I click no it says "The operation is aborted." or something. Any help.

Are you connected to the Internet with a cable when you get that error?

It's probably trying to download a new version of the installer from the Internet so you will need a cabled connection to achieve this (I think).

If you have dial-up internet then try that - I was thinking more like plugging a cable into your router.
