Bluetooth Headset on a MBP

Hey,

I have a Unibody Macbook Pro running 10.5.6 and I'm attempting to pair it with a Plantronics Explorer 230 Bluetooth Headset. It pairs and connects easily, and I get audio from my computer but I can't seem to get the mic working. Nothing It's as if there is no mic input at all---the computer doesn't register any sound. I have the headset selected in both input and output under sound prefs, volume is up...I don't know what to do next. Any help?

There may be an option to use both the headphones and the mic under the bluetooth pane in the menu bar. I think that only the headphone functionality is enabled by default.
