Moving my desktop so to speak..

As you can see, on the left my desktop doesn't start till like 2 inches in, then finishes going off the screen. I don't really want to change the resolution because it looks really good and High Definitionish. Any way I can like 'move' the desktop?

If you are not using the monitor's native resolution, this could happen.
