Any reason to have both Cydia & Installer

Installer seems to be "quirky" and doesn't reset correctly often leaving tasks uncompleted thus showing a red 1 or 2 for days beside the Installer icon.

For example, trying to update to Icy 1.1 from 1.0 and Installer is hanging up.

If I add all the Installer sources to Cydia, Installer can go away ??

Yes. Ditch Installer and go with Cydia.

I have a better title. Any reason to have Installer at all?

I think I originally installed it to get Intelliscreen, but that's now on a new site, and I believe no longer installable thru "Installer" app.

Installer is gone. Thanks for the replies !
