Ok, I like the MBA trackpad w/ button, I like it more than the clickable trackpad. I have 'tap to click' enabled and find it the perfect balance.

I know many MBA owners still would prefer a clickable trackpad, let's put it to the vote!

I don't own a MBA, however, I'd want it with the glass trackpad, whether its clickable or not.

The sheen that develops and the sinking in the centre used to drive me mad.
 
Glass trackpad clicking is too loud and takes too Much force.
Like the su😎rface for sure but the sound... Nope another benefit of Rev B!
 
I'd much prefer it if they left the physical button. I've tried the buttonless trackpad and it just doesn't feel right, and 'tap to click' is something that gets in my way a lot when I use Macs that have it enabled, so why would I like a glass trackpad? Apple should at least give us a choice.
 
I personally love the new trackpads on the MB and MBP. While I do find clicking to be a bit too loud, the force need to click and the feel are fine. I actually prefer to use my trackpad than my mouse for navigating, however when it comes to PS or Aperture, it still doesn't beat a trackpad. Hope they continue to keep them in their products.
 
I like the buttons v. the trackpad only, but I've been doing the double-tap lately and I've forgotten about the button. lol Oops, I just made the poll 50% - 50%...😱
 
I don't have an Air, but the trackpad on my unibody is horrendous. It might just get me to sell it as using a mouse is not always possible, and "using" the new track pad is impossible.
 
The MBA's button is the best solution. Large area of touchpad with button whenever needed/preferred🙂
 
the current setup works just find
I am worry if there will be a lot of mis-clicking going on if it turns to the glass trackpad type😛
 
i dont understand why people would want to bother pressing the trackpad down hard enough to physically click it?
ive got rev A macbook air, and regardless of what mac laptop i use next, ill use it the same as i do now, a double tap onto the trackpad without much pressure at all.

to me, makes no difference, and i never used the button either.
 
The glasspad as a clickable button is just one step closer to Steve Jobs' true intent. He probably wants to get rid of the clickable concept entirely with no button at all.

A button or a clickable touchpad just wastes space in my opinion. Get rid of it entirely and notebooks could be even thinner 🙂

Isn't the pressure adjustable with a screw on the bottom?
