Hi all,
I recently restored my iPhone and chose not to re-install Status Notifier from Cydia, however, I've noticed that after I get a text from someone and I don't reply, I will get the 2nd alert that I had set Notifier on previously.

Are some program's code left in the iPhone after deletion? I don't like glitches/bugs, and I'm wondering if old leftover program data from before I restored is the reason that my iPhone seems to have some issues: apps crashing for no reason, iPhone's screen freezing when I slide to unlock and answer a call, yet the phone continues to ring, etc.

What should I do to get rid of all the crap data causing these problems? I have a 2G iPhone 8GB unlocked and jailbroken with T-Mobile. Any help/advice/technical support would be GREATLY appreciated!

It's because you restored from a backup.

Set it up as a new phone next time, and you won't have any problems.

I didn't restore from a backup, that's the weird thing.

Is there a way to SSH into my phone and remove the bugs??
Or should I just restore with a new firmware?

If your restored as a new phone and not from backup then there is now way that there is any jailbroken code left.
