View Full Version : Post something funny you've seen in person recently

Every now and then we all come accross something hilarious that just has to be snapped. Well, I thought it might be fun to share those pictures.
------
Rules:
* Only pictures you or someone you know have taken please. There are milions of funny pictures on the internet, and we could post all day with many many random ones from far reached corners of the web...but like I said, that would take all day :p so just your (or your friends) own work please.
* If it's big use [timg] instead of [img], helps the pages load faster and the image takes up less space.
Thanks :)
------
Shall I start it off?
I'm still trying to work out the math for that second one....

I can explain the sprite one. To make Sprite (or any other "soda") you mix soda (the fizzy stuff) with Sprite flavored syrup. The "soda only" button just gives you the soda.

This is a picture that I took at Santa Pod raceway late last year. Made me laugh that there was a drag bike made to go as fast as possible with this man in the team. I'm guessing he wasn't the rider.......unless it was his normal road bike and just goes as fast as your average sports bike with him on it :)

Ahh... Kum & Go. Seems weird to see that as a funny picture - when you grow up surrounded by them, it doesn't seem as odd. No different though I guess as when I see a Piggly Wiggly or something.

Yeah, I've never thought much about the stores - we have a few around here.

Please follow the instructions in the first post of this thread. Threads where people post funny pictures from the Internet attract too much forum spam, annoying other users in the process, so we don't allow them.
But this thread should be OK under lukenn's guidelines in the first post. In particular, post only pictures you took yourself or that were taken by somebody you know personally.
Thanks!

I was driving with my dad through the small town of Grevenbroich, Germany, just 20 minutes ago, when we drove passed a Travel Agency.
Very upset I didn't have a camera on me when we drove passed, so I'll just link their website.
http://www.fuecker-busreisen.de/
Please note that Germans, and some other countries/languages, use some funky looking letters not commonly found and/or used in the english languages.
The "U" in the Travel Agency name is actually a "Ü" (commonly written as "ue"). Just thought I should clear that up. Still funny as hell though. :D

I don't have a picture but i have a funny story.
I was driving to work yesterday morning and come up to a intersection in the middle of town. There was a group of city workers with walk behind self propelled lawn mowers. The City van that they all rode in, and carried the lawn mowers, trimmers, etc was blocking traffic. Well....he gave up and moved on lol.
I didn't get to see how the others got over the median, but there were two guys trying to get the mowers up and over it. It's a good 6-8" high. They tried backing them up, they tried driving them up. Getting one tire up, rotating the mower to try and get the other tire up...then the first tire would fall off. This went on for a few minutes. Every car at that intersection were watching these guys. The lights went thru a full cycle before anybody moved, myself included.
These two guys tried for who knows how long to get these mowers over the curb. When they tried to drive them up the mowers would bounce in the air and come down and you could see them curse the mowers. It was the most rediculous thing i have ever seen. I was dumbfounded.
The curb with the white ford going around is the crub they tried to cross. (http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&ll=37.946986,-91.777306&spn=0,359.999128&t=h&z=20&layer=c&cbll=37.946986,-91.777306&panoid=NFCvdyakxWWpEhL2t5xBlQ&cbp=12,298.98,,0,14.83)

Wow, haven't posted here for ages. Anyway, living in Japan I tend to see some funny stuff, here's a few photos I've taken....
1. Found this sign in a water feature in a shopping centre in Yokohama
2. Price graranty at a sports shop (strangely they managed to spell guarantee right just next to the mistake)
3. At IKEA in Kohoku
4. From an old mobile phone so it's tiny. This guy was so drunk he passed out whilst leaning against the train door. When the door opened it dragged him to one side, he hit his head on the metal bar and still didn't wake up.
5. Taken in the early afternoon on the way to Shibuya. This guy's glasses were hanging off his face for ages and finally fell onto the seat

Nope I was just there for the game. The one at the Coliseum kept crashing when we were in there watching the basketball team practice and then the stadium ones kept going down at random times.
