I have the unibody macbook pro and I haven't been able to install any of nvidia's latest notebook drivers. I've tried on xp pro 32 bit as well as vista x64 and still no dice.

I keep get a message that my hardware is not supported.

are the drivers on the first post the newest that will work?

try the customized DOX drivers on laptopvideo2go. i'm using one of his (not sure which version, im on my mac partition as i only use windows for games) but it does give a performance boost.

be sure to wipe your drivers before installing that though.

Check driver release dates. The nvidia 9400m drivers, at this time, seem to be older than release date for some of the new computers.

So the best bet is to do the third party for now, and use the official one when it comes out.

Re:

You can get updated Nvidia Drivers for you Macbook here:

For XP:
http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/drivers/xp/180.70

For Vista:
http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/drivers/vista/180.70

It has updated 'forceware' and installs without problems. I noticed better performance in games than i was getting with the stock apple drivers. These are for the new late 2008 aluminum Macbooks with the geforce 9400m chipset.

LOL... OK... So we're supposed to download these WINDOWS based drivers for our Macbook pros? Hmmm ...Ahem... WINDOWS. Are you kidding me??!

Tried to install the follow driver that I linked below and had this problem:

This computer will not support this NVIDIA graphics solution

Considering that this is the Windows, Linux & Others on the Mac section of this forum, I would suggest that post was rather relevant. Also, did you not happen to see the date of the post you quoted?
