What I really want is... iPod support!

Tell me about it, it's not like Apple aren't fans of Open Source either.. hopefully just a matter of time.

i dunno about ogg in itunes hacks. i tried one from i think macaddict, and it slowed down my itunes to beach balling for about 5 minutes.

It's not a hack, just a codec, the same as DivX or any other decoder. It is quite slow though.

oh! i though you also did the iTunes hack to get the ogg icon in the finder and itunes be the default payer for it from mac addict.

Mac Addict made a good point about Apple having a OGG File icon.

Mac Addict made a good point about Apple having a OGG File icon. They also have had a WMA icon for a while (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=44210). I still hope they add OGG support. Not for me, but so they can sell more iPods :D

Call me naive, but who really uses ogg vorbis files? Are we talking about .001% of online music?
