When installing my application, is there any way to set a file association at install time?

I'm looking to associate a particular file type with an application - i.e. when they click on our file type, it opens in our application.

Is there an easy way to do this in the installer?
I can run Unix script, if that helps.

Cheers!

Take a look at Launch Services. If you create your application's Info.plist correctly, you likely won't need to do anything at install time to create this association, since Launch Services will do it for you.
