Any idea why my CD-Rs show up as holding 670Mb in the finder instead of the full 700Mb like they should?

You lose some in the formatting, so I'd guess that's where your extra space went.

Okay. Well, oddly enough, Toast 6 burns them fine. I even crammed 699.3MB onto one of them.
