Looks like the Applestore UK is broken - though looks like the new base model iBook (G4 1Ghz) is on there at £799!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dammit. I just got my 800Mhz iBook last Thursday. I guess I could return it then order the 1Ghz version - you have 10 days from receiving it, right?

What would Apple say if I phoned them and said I was gonna do this?

There isn't really any difference apart from the processor is there?

Looks like the apple store has been taken down, soon to come back up again.

But yes, definitely £799 for 1Ghz iBook.

Makes me feel sad - my iBook is a G3 700Mhz.

But, bring on the PowerMacs, I want to buy one this year :D :D :D

yeh i was BTOing an iBook for fun.. when i clicked update it said apple store down for updates :p :p G5s?????
