The topped out ibooks look nice now, but can I monitor-span, or is it still mirror-only? God, I wish i had the $3k for a powerbook...

I haven't checked, but I'm pretty sure it's still only mirroring. They're limited so the PBook keeps an advantage over them. Check the net for firmware hacks to enable spanning (Extended Desktop (http://www.rutemoeller.com/mp/ibook/ibook_e.html)). Don't yet know if it will work with the new iBooks.
