Ibook g3 dual usb sounds like vacuum

What would cause a Ibook to just randomly make the fans run so high that it sounds like a vacuum or an xbox 360. All the sound is comming from the back port by the lcd screen.

High CPU usage which causes heat could cause high fan speeds.

And the fan on the iBook sounds really like a vacuum cleaner. At least mine did (G4).

Look at Activity Monitor (Applications > Utilities) and be sure to show All Processes.
Also you can use iStat (menu or widget at islayer.com) to show your CPU temperature.
