Well today is my 31st day on my unlock 16gb iphone. I am going to call tomorrow and cancel my service. I had a couple of questions.

1. Will they ask why I am canceling? I saw somewhere that I could try the phone for 30 days no questions...is that true.

2. Will they bill the ETF or do I have to pay up front?

3. Should I call today or wait til tomorrow? Does the extra day make a difference, I just don't want to return the phone.

4. Will I be able to buy the new iphone in July, If I decide to?

Any help would be great!

You can call today or tomorrow. It does not matter. They will ask you why you want to cancel service. Just make up something. Tell them you got that numbet for a family member but they flaked on you. They will charge you a etf, but it will be on your bill. And depending when your cycles ends you probably will not see the etf for about 2 months. And yes you can get the new iPhone if it does come out this summer.

Did you guy the phone from BB or apple for $199?
If so, im pretty sure you have to give the phone back too.

And if you didnt and just bought an unlocked phone from ebay, why did you even sign up?

If your phone is unlocked, then you don't have to give it back you just have to cancel your service because att or apple would not have sold you an unlocked iphone. But if you bought it from there and then unlocked it, you still would have to give it back because you would have gotten a price reduction just because of the carrier. It would be better also to cancel today just to be on the safe side.

You know you can unlock a phone after buying it right?
And if he had an unlocked phone why would he have AT&T that is why I asked if he bought it from them for $199.

That is why I said if he bought it for $199 with that plan.
I think if you pay the ETF ($175) you can keep your phone but if you cancel within the first 30 days and dont pay the ETF then you have to return the phone
